Modification
The state government has, in modification of its earlier statement, informed that cabinet minister James PK Sangma will hoist the Tricolour and take salute at a ceremonial parade at Ampati, MLA Marcuise N Marak do the same in Williamnagar, cabinet minister Hamletson Dohling in Nongpoh and cabinet minister Dasakhiatbha Lamare in Jowai.

Competition
The Lama Villa Yoga Health Benefits Club will organise an open yoga competition for age group of 7 to 15 years, as part of Independence Day celebrations. A statement in this regard informed that the competition will be held at the Lama Villa Community Hall from 07:30 am onwards on Monday.
