IIM Shillong, MYC ink MoU Mizoram’s human resource devp

SHILLONG, Aug 27: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis, IIM Shillong, and Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a bid to advance human resource development in Mizoram by helping organisations to create curricula, plan courses, and build capability.
According to a statement, the MoU was signed between IIM Shillong Director Prof. DP Goyal and MYC Chairman Dr Vanlaltanpuia, in the presence of various officials.
Following the agreement, a meeting was also held, which was attended by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
Reacting to the MoU, the IIM Shillong Director said, “IIM Shillong is dedicated to fostering cutting-edge knowledge, a vision of expansion, and the mobilization of infrastructure for providing high-quality management education and research in the North Eastern area of India, it is a great pleasure to be cooperating with (MYC), Government of Mizoram.”
It may be mentioned that IIM Shillong aims to support Mizoram’s human resource development, assist the Mizoram government and MYC in particular in identifying skill gaps, offer capacity-building programmes for government employees, and support Mizoram’s economic development by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in promising industries.
