NONGPOH, Aug 27: Umsning Constituency People’s Forum (UCPF) president Sunshine Makri along with his supporters on Saturday joined the United Democratic Party (UDP) in Umsning constituency.
Speaking at the function, state president of the UDP Metbah Lyngdoh expressed his happiness over the joining of Makri and his supporters to the party.
He also exuded confidence that the UDP will emerge victorious in the 2023 polls.
On the party’s ticket allocation from Umsning constituency, Lyngdoh said this will be decided by the State Election Committee of the party after taking into consideration the aspirations and suggestions of the people.
