BSF band enthrals crowd in Shella

SHILLONG, Aug 28: Marking the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, the Brass and Jazz Band of Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier displayed an enthralling performance for the residents of the international border at Ramakrishna Mission Secondary School, Shella, in East Khasi Hills on Saturday.
BSF band played many popular patriotic tunes and left the audience mesmerised with the emotions for the country.
More than 500 people from bordering areas came out to watch the performance.
This is one of the many events organised by the BSF to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amarit Mahotsav’ with the objective of disseminating awareness with regard to national integration and evoke a sense of patriotism among the public.
Principal of the school Mrinal Chakraborty was the chief guest of the occasion.
