KSU moves MBoSE official over error in textbook

SHILLONG, Aug 31: The KSU Central Executive Council (CEC) on Wednesday called on MBoSE Joint Director M Marbaniang, asking the latter to ensure immediate correction of a factual error in the Social Science textbook for Class X.
Stating that Eastern West Khasi Hills has been wrongly mentioned as one of the districts in Garo Hills, KSU Education Secretary Raymond Kharjana lamented that this is not the first that errors have crept in MBoSE textbooks.
Kharjana also informed that the delegation has been assured that the error in the textbook will be corrected.
According to Kharjana, the MBoSE official also pointed out that there has been problem in the way books are reviewed by the board before their release.
