SHILLONG, Sep 2: The High Court of Meghalaya on Friday asked the state government to indicate the short-term measures taken over the last three months to improve the healthcare system in the state.
Hearing the public interest litigation into the suo motu cognizance of deficiencies in health services in the state, a division bench of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice W Diengdoh allowed the state government one week to indicate the short-term measures taken over the last three months, as the state claims, to improve the healthcare system at the grassroots level.
The matter will be heard again on September 9.
