NONGSTOIN, Sep 6: A 15-year-old girl from a village under Eastern West Khasi Hills was allegedly sexually assaulted on August 15, according to an FIR.
The police complaint, filed by the girl’s father, accuses one Westerding Nonglang of Jakhong village, Eastern West Khasi Hills district, of committing the crime.
After a case was registered and investigation was launched by Mairang Police Station, it was discerned that the accused had absconded and is yet to be traced.
