SHILLONG, Sep 21: Former cabinet minister Samlin Malngiang has made it clear that any decision to leave the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will be taken only after consultations with the people from his constituency.
Malngiang’s statement comes at a time when speculations are rife about him joining the UDP. It may be mentioned that another HSPDP MLA and cabinet minister Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar is likely to join the UDP as indications are clear that the HSPDP may lose both its MLAs.
