Condolence
The Lions Club of Shillong and members of Geetali – a socio cultural organisation, Laban, organised separate condolence meetings to remember the sudden demise of one Biman Talukdar (Moloy Da), an active member of Geetali and past president of Lions Club. Talukdar had succumbed to his injuries on September 20 after he was reportedly hit by a vehicle in the city. Members of Geetali, in the meeting, offered a floral tribute and observed a two-minute silence for the departed soul. In the meeting organised by the Lions Club, Talukdar’s contributions during his 45 years of service including two tenures as Club president were recounted.
