Capacity building prog launched in city college

SHILLONG, Oct 14: A capacity building programme on Information, Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT) was launched at Morning star College, Nongthymmai, on Friday.
According to a statement, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched a project through the National Institute of Electronics and IT (NIELIT), Shillong, to provide awareness and training on IECT.
Under the project, training, skill development and job-oriented value addition courses is imparted to undergraduate students, polytechnic diploma holders in various areas to fulfil local needs. The launch event in the city was attended by Lawjynriew Rangbah Dong SB Kurbah, college principal B Wanrap, among other officials.
