Cleaning drive
The NSS Cell of William Carey University organised a massive drive on Swachhta 2022 as a part of Clean India Campaign on Wednesday. According to a statement, the drive, which started from the university premises at Umkdiat, ended at Nongmensong market. The drive was attended by volunteers, students, NSS officers, faculty members and staff of the university, et al. The participants, numbering around 500, collected over 700 kg of plastic waste with the support from Nongmensong Rangbah Shnong and Dobar Dong of Umkdiat.

Awareness
The CAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, South Garo Hills, on Wednesday conducted orientation-cum-awareness programme on cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation at Chokpot under Special Swachhta Campaign 2.0. According to a statement, the programme was attended by 31 students from Mount Carmel English School, Chokpot. During the programme, KVK scientists explained the importance of cleanliness and good personal hygiene to maintain physical and mental health.
