The duo joined the TMC along with their supporters in the presence of former chief minister Mukul Sangma, TMC MLA Lazarus Sangma, TMC state mahila president Selma D Shira, among others.
Albeit the duo had unsuccessfully contested the last MLA elections, they now are expressing hope that their joining would boost the TMC prospects in 2023.
