Notification
The state government has notified Nongthymmai, Madanrting, Golflink, New Shillong Township, Rynjah, Lapalang, Garikhana, Iew Mawlong and Demsieniong area as ‘City Center Zones’ for Shillong Agglomeration Area as per section D8.1 of the Meghalaya Building Bye Laws, 2021.
Celebration
In a bid to promote and preserve the unique and exuberant cultural heritage of the Anāl Naga community here in Shillong, the community members will celebrate the 3rd installment of the Anāl Naga Ṭeno Alum (Anāl Cultural Festival) on Saturday at the Naga Community Hall, Nagaland House, Nongrim Hills, under the theme “Back to Our Roots”. The programme will be organised under the aegis of The Anāl Naga Elders’ Forum Shillong.
Festival
The 18th Shillong Wine Festival has been slated for November 12 with the campus of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides as the venue. The The Forever Young Club, organizers of the festival, has invited all fruit wine makers to participate in the event and showcase their homemade wines.
