Shullai unveils bust of social worker in city

SHILLONG, Oct 29: Arts & Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai, in collaboration with the Raid Laban Sports, Social & Cultural Organisation, on Saturday unveiled a bust of social worker Dhyanada Charan Sharma near his residence in Kench’s Trace, Shillong.
According to a statement, a programme in this regard was held here which was attended various officials, who recalled the contributions of Sharma to the society.
Shullai, in his address, stressed that the present generation must know about the selfless contributions made by the elders.
Stating that the social worker not only preached but practiced, Shullai informed the gathering how Sharma was involved with all the communities of Shillong.
