BSF-BGB meet talks transborder crimes

TURA, Nov 1: The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Tuesday conferred about various transborder crimes during a sector commander-level meeting at BOP Kilapara in Dalu, West Garo Hills.
While the BSF delegation was led by DIG, Sector HQ BSF, Tura, Harmeet Singh, the BGB delegation was led by Deputy Director General, Sector Commander BGB, Mymensingh, Md. Mahmudur Rahman.
During the meeting, discussions were held on various trans-border crimes, including illegal sand mining, illegal cattle grazing, etc.
Following the meeting, the commanders of both BSF and BGB agreed to maintain cordial relations to ensure peace and tranquility on both sides of the border.
Meanwhile, prior to the meeting, the two commanders also laid wreaths at the War Memorial in Kilapara in memory of the fallen heroes of the Indo-Pakistan war.
