NONGSTOIN, Nov 4: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), West Khasi Hills, on Friday seized contraband items during a check at Jaidohkroh, located under Ksehkohlong village, Nongstoin.
Acting on a tip-off, the ANTF set up a check on the aforesaid location and intercepted a vehicle (ML-05M-1175), owned and driven by one Teiborlin Myrthong (36) of Mawrang Rambrai.
Upon search of the passenger, identified as one Riboklang Lyngdoh (22) of Mawiong lumsyntiew, seven grams of heroin contained in seven containers, two syringes, two cell phones, one empty container and Rs 1,505 in cash were recovered from him, and subsequently confiscated.
Further, 33 empty plastic tubes were recovered from the vehicle, and subsequently seized.
