Guv extends Shad Nongkrem greetings

SHILLONG, Nov 6: On the auspicious occasion of Nongkrem Dance, the Governor of Meghalaya BD Mishra has conveyed greetings to the people of Meghalaya, especially the Khasi community and expressed hope that the dance festival which is performed to appease the all powerful Goddess ‘Ka Blei Synshar’ will usher a rich bumper harvest for the prosperity of the people.
“As you celebrate your rich cultural heritage and preserve age-old traditions with fervour, may the festival bring lasting peace, communal harmony and progress for the state as a whole. I wish the festivities a grand success,” a statement from Raj Bhavan quoting the Governor, said.
