Awareness prog
A two-day-long awareness programme on ‘Employment Generation’ was organised by Uplifter Alternative at Dinet Manik Syiem Memorial Higher Secondary School, Nongthymmai, on Friday and Saturday. The programme was attended by various youth organisations of Nongthymmai and students of the school. Various resource persons from KVIC, DIC, PRIME START-UP HUB, MSME, SIDBI, DDUGKY besides others were invited to speak on the occasion. Proprietor of Nela Handloom Training Centre, James Dkhar, also shared his success story during the programme. All the participants were given a certificate of appreciation for participating in the programme and the programme ended with refreshment.

Seminar
Women’s College, Shillong, will be organising an international seminar on ‘Azad Hind Fauj and the Indian Freedom Struggle with particular reference to Northeast India’ to commemorate Azad Hind Day, on the premises of the college on November 15 and 16. Former professor of Department of International Relations, Jadavapur University, Kolkata, Professor Purabi Roy, and ex-visiting professor, Moscow State University, and St. Petersburg University, will deliver the keynote address.
