Purakhasia public apprehend Bangladeshi natl

TURA, Nov 13: A Bangladeshi national, who allegedly crossed over to Purakhasia area illegally, was on Sunday apprehended by the general public of Puran Bazar and later handed over to police.
According to police, the Purakhasia Police Outpost was informed over phone that a Bangladeshi national had been caught by the general public of Puran Bazar.
A police team went to the spot and took into their custody one, Ushav Miah, son of Ashad Miah, resident of Telia, P.O. – Kumdati, P.S- Shibpur,  Dist- Nosandi, Bangladesh.
Upon interrogation, the arrested Bangladeshi national is said to have told police that he was loitering in the border area and mistakenly entered Indian territory. Police further informed that Miah was sent for medical examination and is currently being kept at Purakhasia Out Post lock up for safe custody and further necessary action.
