Army officer dies in road mishap

SHILLONG, Nov 15: An Indian Army colonel lost his life in a hit-and-run case at Boucher Road on Tuesday evening.
Polices said that the officer was out on an evening walk when he was hit by a Bolero pick-up vehicle. He was immediately shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The driver of the pick-up has been arrested and the vehicle has been detained, police said.
