Police frisk pressure group members

SHILLONG, Nov 26: Police on Saturday frisked members of the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) before allowing them to enter the State Central Library premises to observe the Red Flag Day called by the organisation to protest against the Mukroh killings.
Every member was thoroughly checked before entering the venue to ensure that no weapon or equipment was carried inside the premises of the State Central Library.
HITO observed the ‘Red Flag Day’ to condemn the death of five villagers at Mukroh village in West Jaintia Hills on November 22.
