SHILLONG, Dec 1: Director-General of Police Lajja Ram Bishnoi on Thursday assured adequate security deployment in West Shillong constituency after miscreants recently lobbed a petrol bomb at a residence in Mawbah on Monday evening.
The DGP, accompanied by West Shillong MLA Mohendro Rapsang and Mawbah headman David Syiemlieh walked around Mawbah and Upper Mawprem localities and took stock of the situation. The DGP interacted with the residents and also inspected the spot where the petrol bomb had been lobbed.
He assured that police patrolling will be intensified in the area.
