Changes made to Sohra I’ntl Half Marathon’s route

Shillong, Dec 5: A course measurement conducted by technical expert of the Atletics Federation of India on Sunday, December 4, saw the route of the 1st Sohra International Half Marathon 2022 changed. The changes made to the route are:
• For Elite and Meghalaya Runners (Men & Women) the start point will be Mawkdok and the finish point will be Nongsawlia, Sohra.
• For the 10K run (Men & Women) the start point will be Sohra Rim and the finish point will be Nongsawlia, Sohra.
The organisers also informed that the registration for the Run For Fun 5K run will be free. All finishers will also be given a medallion. The participants will be given free T-shirts. Refreshments will also be made available by the organisers, according to a statement issued by the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA). Bib numbers for the event will be distributed on December 19-20. All participants will also be picked up from Soso Tham Hall, IGP at 5:30 am to be dropped at Mawkdok on race day, as per the MSOA statement. The race is scheduled to start at 7:00 am.
