TURA, Dec 11: BJP state vice president and GHADC MDC Bernard N Marak on Sunday once again taunted the NPP as the “B Team” of the BJP while asserting that his party (BJP) was more organised this time, and ready to fight alone.
“BJP will do better in the 2023 elections because the party is more organised this time and ready to fight alone. In previous years, BJP worked with the NPP but we were backstabbed at different levels from which the party learnt many lessons. NPP always played a major role during elections since NPP is a B Team of the BJP. This time we are ready and organised unlike other years,” the Tura MDC said.
Bernard alleged that the NPP as well as other leaders have been taking advantage of the huge amount of funds released by the BJP to uplift the state and assured that it would happen no more.
“BJP will end corruption. BJP’s support to uplift the state with tremendous fund flow only paved the way for NPP and other leaders to misuse the funds. BJP will not remain silent. Our leaders will pull the plug very soon,” Bernard warned.
Claiming that the party has gained ground at the grassroots level, the Tura MDC said that BJP workers are not profit oriented but are service oriented workers who voluntarily dedicated their time and energy to do good for the society resulting in its strength.
“In previous years, NPP played a major role in allotment of seats where they ensured that BJP did not win. BJP is more organised this time and it is evident from winning Tura seat in the last MDC election. Moreover, People are aware of what BJP is doing for the poor at the grassroots level. Other parties are mostly involved in shameless corruption and greed for money and power. Everyone knows the funds are sanctioned by BJP which are siphoned off by other parties,” Bernard added.
