Wossie Rani’s candidature proposed from Mawphlang

SHILLONG, Dec 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mawphlang Mandal on Monday decided to propose the name of Wossie Rani as party candidate to contest from the constituency in the upcoming Assembly polls, following a consultation with senior party leaders.
The announcement of the proposal was made during a meeting at Pyndengkhah village, which was attended by more than 1,500 people.
During the meeting, the BJP leaders also welcomed Rani into the party fold.
Expressing gratitude to the party leaders and supporters, Rani, who hails from Pyndengkhah village under Hima Nongspung, said, “I am hopeful that we will be able to win the election with the support of the people of the different villages under the constituency.”
