BSF campaign promotes cleanliness, hygiene

SHILLONG, Dec 16: The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, which initiated a cleanliness campaign on December 1 under Swachh Bharat Mission, concluded on Thursday after propagating the importance of cleanliness and hygiene for two weeks.
According to a statement, the cleanliness campaign was conducted under the mentorship of Inspector General of BSF Meghalaya Inderjit Singh Rana.
During the programme, BSF Meghalaya carried out extensive cleaning and awareness drives at not only BSF campuses, public places but also at residential areas.
“BSF also propagated the campaign through road marches and by displaying banners at public places to motivate local population to become part of this noble initiative,” the BSF said in a statement.
