Ampareen quits party as Congress loses ‘sense and direction’

Guwahati, Dec 19:  The Congress in Meghalaya today suffered a serious set-back in the run-up to the next Assembly polls with one of its senior leaders and a former minister in the state, Dr M Ampareen Lyngdoh quitting the party.

In a letter dashed to the President of the Indian National Congress, the senior leader from Meghalaya has tendered resignation from the primary membership of the party as the ‘party (Congress) has of late lost its ‘sense and direction’.
