Cabinet nod to Building Amendment Bylaws, 2022

SHILLONG, Dec 20: The state Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Meghalaya Building Amendment Byelaws, 2022, and the Meghalaya Minor Mineral Reclamation Fund Management (Amendment) Guidelines, 2022, besides also approving the notification for the Meghalaya Professions, Trades, Callings and Employment Taxation Rules.
“It was a very simple amendment where the agencies which are eligible to implement the funds was only enhanced in the sense that earlier there were nine agency which can implement the funds we have added the bio-diversity board and that was the only amendment that was made,” Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said about the amended Meghalaya Minor Mineral Reclamation Fund Management Guidelines.
Talking about the Meghalaya Professions Trades Callings and Employment Taxation Rules, he said, “These are normal procedures. Once the Act has come in, rules have to follow and we have notified the rules.”
On the Cabinet nod to the Meghalaya Building Amendment Byelaws, 2022, he said, “Certain amendments have been made and there are a long list of details it will not be possible for me to go through all of them as they are highly technical in nature also”.
“So we will prepare a small note and send it to the press,” he added.
There was no note or details available till the time of filing this report.
