Blasters overcome struggling JFC

KOCHI, Jan 3:Kerala Blasters FC played host to Jamshedpur FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
Kerala Blasters came into the game on the back of a seven-game unbeaten streak and they were not disappointed as Jamshedpur’s poor run continued.
Kerala won the game comfortably in end with a 3-1 win which solidifies the team’s prospects further for the playoffs. They now stretch their unbeaten run to eight games.
Jamshedpur FC have not won in their last 8 games and has lost 4 away matches in a row. The Jamshedpur based side have not won any of their last 6 away matches, and this encounter was not any different.
Apostolos Giannou put the finishing touch with a backheel flick following Diamantakos’ pin point cross in from the left after some good link-up play leading up to the decisive moment. Jamshedpur pull level through Daniel Chukwu.
KeralaFC keeper Prabshukan Gil came off his line to thwart Ishan Pandita, but the ball follow-up falls kindly to Chukwu, who does terrifically well to put the ball into the back of the net from a tight position.

Adrian Luna won the hero of the match award for a stellar performance at both ends of the pitch.
Jamshedpur FC next host seventh place Chennaiyan FC at home on 7th January. Jamshedpur FC will be hoping lady luck will shine on them and they can get a result from this fixture. winnless in the last nine fixtures,Jamshedpur FC have had a season to forget in this edition of the ISL.
