NCC trekking expedition flagged off

Shillong, Jan 11: An NCC All India Trekking Expedition of over 500 NCC cadets was flagged off from the NEHU Campus in Shillong by the Additional Director General NCC Major General Gagan Deep in the presence of Registrar of the NEHU, S K Dixit.

Cadets from Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya are participating in the seven-day expedition.

The cadets will trek to Shillong Peak, Smit Cultural Centre, Sweet Falls towards the scenic countryside of Shillong and visit war museums and heritage buildings in the city to get an insight of the rich culture and traditions of Meghalaya.
