Opportunities in New India are plenty: Union minister

Shillong, Jan 12: Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar today asserted that the ‘opportunities created in New India’ are unprecedented

Chandrashekhar who attended the National Youth Day celebration at Ramakrishna Mission here today, said in old India, opportunities of growth and prosperity were restricted to only rich and those connected with politicians ‘but in New India 80,000 youths have created start-ups and 105 young Indians have created more than billion dollar start-ups.

Pointing out that infrastructure were not modern and armed forces did not had manpower due to paucity of funds, he said that the New India has modern airports roads and bridges.

He also stated that India is a great country but politics earlier had killed aspirations innovations and dreams.

Earlier, the Minister paid floral tribute at the statue of Swami Vivekananda

During his two-day visit to the state, the Union Minister is scheduled to meet business community. and social workers.
