WJH cops seize 1.2 kg of Yaba tablets

SHILLONG, Jan 13: East Jaintia Hills Police on Thursday seized 1.2 kg of Yaba tablets and arrested four persons in the connection.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint operation was undertaken by Ratacherra check post and Umkiang PPP under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police B Jyrwa.
During the operation, four suspected drug peddlers were apprehended and around 1.2 kg of Yaba tablets was recovered from their possession.
One vehicle (ML113832) and four mobile phones were also seized from their possession.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sajul Islam, Jabir Hussain Barbhuiya, Abdul Mohit Barbhuiya and Ratikul Islam Barbhuiya.
