Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aspiring candidate from North Shillong Michael Kharsyntiew on Tuesday donated solar street lights to the Dorbar Shnong of Wahthapbru. The street lights were handed over to the Wahthapbru Rangbah Shnong Jop Rymbai in the presence of senior BJP member Martamlin Pyrbot and Wahthapbru Dorbar Shnong secretary Mayro Shylla.

The working committee of the Riat Laban Dorbar Pyllun on January 14 elected new office-bearers and executive members for 2023-26. Accordingly, Iosterson Sun was elected president among three vice presidents and other executive members.
