SGH arms holders told to deposit arms

Tura, Jan 20: The South Garo Hills District Magistrate, in an official communique, has directed licensed arms holders to deposit their arms to the nearest police station until further notice.

The move is being taken as a as a precautionary security measure and to restrain the public from use and carriage of firearms with immediate effect, the order issued in this regard added.
