DFO Tura, NEHU hold IPR awareness programme

TURA, Jan 22: An awareness programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was on Saturday organised by the Branch MSME-DFO Tura Meghalaya Government of India Ministry of MSME MSME in collaboration with the Northeastern Hill University NEHU , Tura.
South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Gideon Kharmawphlang, who attended the programme as the chief guest, assured full support from the administration for obtaining GI Registration while speaking to the gathering.
Others who also spoke on various topics included, Nilesh Trivedi Assistant Director Branch MSME-DFO Tura, CIPAM DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Mrs Gurpreet Mathur, NEHU Professor CP Suresh, Dr Jyoti Vastrad Dean ,college of community science Tura, Central agriculture University and the Principal Ampati Degree College.
The programme which was coordinated by Padmini Vaikunth Roy (Koch) andUsha Koch of Ampati, saw participation of more than 200 participants.
