Samborlang Diengdoh quits TMC

Shillong, Jan 24: Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Pynthorumkhrah constituency, Samborlang Diengdoh on Tuesday resigned from the party and informed that he would  contest the forthcoming Assembly polls as an Independent candidate.

Citing personal reasons for his decision, he said that he did not subscribe to the mud slinging politics of the different political parties.

Diengdoh said that he would not get involved in mudslinging against his opponent during the election campaign.

He further clarified that he was not against the leadership of the TMC.
