Cong names rest five candidates for Meghalaya polls

Shillong, Jan 28: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) today announced the names of the rest five poll candidates for Meghalaya Assembly election scheduled for February 27 next.

The candidates are: Smt Jhanika Siangshai for Khliehriat(ST) LAC, Arbiangkam Khar Sohmat for Amlarem (ST) LAC, Chireng Peter R Mark for Kharkutta (ST) LAC, Dr Tweel K Marak for Resubelpara (ST) LAC, Carla R Sangma for Rajabala LAC.

The Congress had earlier announced candidates for 55 other LACs in the state.
