Traffic in WGH to be regulated in view of polls

TURA, Jan 30: In a bid to allow smooth functioning of necessary processes in the run-up to the February 27 Assembly elections, the West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police has declared ‘No Entry’ for non-exempted vehicles from DC Park junction towards DC Office here.
According to a notification issued here, the non-exempted vehicles coming from Babupara side will be diverted via the SBI Main Branch to rejoin NH-51 near the Tura Town Higher Secondary School junction.
Other than exempted vehicles, no entry beyond PWD office towards DC Park, has been declared for public vehicles coming from the urban hub parking lot side.
Vehicles moving from Tura Bazar towards Babupara CS junction will be diverted towards Hawakhana.
The traffic arrangement will be in forced from January 31 till February 9.
It may be mentioned that Meghalaya will be going to polls on February 27.
