SL 2nd Division: Malki CC beat Slog Warriors

SHILLONG, Feb 2: Malki CC presented a class game against Slog Warriors in the Shillong Cricket League 2nd division match with two of their batsmen, Ronnie Mcdonald and Raymond Mylliempdah, hitting half centuries helping the team post a decent total of 156 for 4 in 20 overs.Malki CC defeated Warriors by 48 runs.Notwithstanding his commendable knock of 50 runs, Raymond Mylliempdoh showed class with the ball as well taking 4 wickets in 3.2 overs while conceding 15 runs.He was adjudged man of the match. Malki’s Edmund Mylliempdoh on the other hand scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs and gave 21 runs to contribute to the team’s win against Slog Warriors.Bowlers of Slog Warriors tried to stop the opposition batters’ prowess but only managed to scalp four wickets — two each by Sonu Prasad (21 runs in 4 overs) and Anil Rai (27 runs in 3 overs).Warriors then went for the chase but lacked the firepower as they were all out for 107 runs in 18.2 overs. Rakesh Rai of Warriors scored 40 runs in 38 balls while Suraj Turaha scored 10 runs in 11 balls.
