MLA wants Nongstoin to become a smart town

NONGSTOIN, Feb 3: NPP MLA from Nongstoin Macmillan Byrsat, who filed his nomination on Friday, expressed his willingness to complete all the pending works in the constituency, maintaining that he wants to see Nongstoin become a smart town.
He pointed out that besides all-round developments in the constituency, the tourism sector will be the main agenda if he is re-elect this year.
Exuding confidence in winning the Nongstoin seat, Byrsat said his goal is also to bring proper legislation and safeguard the interests of the tribal people in the state as well as to bring development in every sector.
Nongstoin MDC and Congress candidate, Gabriel Wahlang, who also filed his nomination on Friday, said that he is aiming to improve the economic conditions of the people, revamp the educational sector, bring various developmental activities and create employment opportunities for the youths.
While speaking to reporters, Wahlang said that all the candidates contesting from Nongstoin are competent enough and it now all depends on the people of the constituency to choose their representative.
