Unclaimed body
On February 1 evening, a body of an unknown man was recovered from Spread Eagle Falls, Umpling, Lumdiengmet. Subsequently, inquest and other legal formalities were observed and after the completion of autopsy, the body has been kept in the morgue room in NEIGRIHMS. According to a statement, the deceased is approximately 40 years old, is 5.5 feet tall, has a swarthy complexion and was found wearing grey track jacket, blue T-shirt, black track pant, black undergarment, etc. Meanwhile, all concerned have been asked to call 03642222214 or 03642230402 for identification and claim of the body.
The Additional Director of Health Services (SS), Shillong Civil Hospital, has informed that one male patient, aged 60 years, was admitted in the Male Surgical Ward, Bed No. 20, on December 19, 2022, afternoon. The patient, however, passed away on February 2 morning. In this regard, all concerned have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue immediately or within three days, failing which the same will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
