TMC workers attacked in Phulbari LAC

Shillong, Feb 8: Workers of TMC party in the poll-bound were attacked in Phulbari assembly constituency, West Garo Hills district, last night by miscreants in which several party workers were injured besides others.

In a statement, the TMC alleged that several party workers were attacked by opposition National People’s Party (NPP) workers at Charbatapara booth in Phulbari assembly constituency of West Garo Hills on late Tuesday night.

The attack took place at around 10.30 pm when NPP workers vandalised the premises where Meghalaya TMC meeting was conducting a meeting.

The NPP workers barged into the meeting premises and created a ruckus. One  Nozrul Hoque, 59, was injured. Party workers rushed him to the nearby Phulbari CHC Hospital.

TMC candidate from Phulbari  Assembly Constituency, SG Esmatur Mominin is in contact with the injured party workers. Visuals emerging from the spot showed TMC workers under attack were bleeding profusely.
