Shillong, Feb 10: Trinamool Congress (TMC) today slammed the Meghalaya Government and Meghalaya Police for failing to check illegal transportation of coal in the state.

Referring to the recent High Court order asking CAPF to be deployed to check on illegal coal mining and transportation, TMC leaders Derek O Brien and party state president Charles Pyngrope said that the order just showed that the state government and police were not doing their job property.

They also said they would not look away from the scams committed under the NPP-led MDA government once the TMC formed the government in Meghalaya.
