18th Captain Jintu Gogoi Vir Chakra Memorial Football tourney from 15 February

GUWAHATI, Feb 13: The inaugural ceremony of the 18thCaptain Jintu Gogoi Vir Chakra Memorial Football tournament will be held on 15thFebruary 2023 at Nehru Maidan, Duliajan. The tournament will see the partricipation of 24 teams from across the 8 Northeastern states, providing a showcase ofincredible talent and competition.The tournament, which is organised by the Spear Corps Division of the Indian Army in associationwith Oil India Limited as a tribute to Kargil Martyrs and Assam’s ‘Bir Chilarai’ Captain Jintu Gogoi,Vir Chakra will feature several exciting matches scheduled from 15th to 22nd February 2023. The tournament will be held across various locations, including Duliajan,Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Digboi.
