Govt declares holiday on February 27

SHILLONG, Feb 13: The Meghalaya government has declared holiday across the state on February 27 on account of Assembly elections.
According to a statement, the holiday has been declared so as to enable one and all to exercise their franchise.
“The Government of Meghalaya has declared 27th February, 2023, as paid holiday under the N.I. Act, 1881 to all public/private commercial and industrial enterprises etc (including shops and factories) situated under the State of Meghalaya to enable the voters to exercise their franchise,” the statement said.
