Show-cause notice to State Women Commission Chairperson

Shillong, Feb 14: The Returning Officer of Jowai  Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) has slapped a show-cause notice to Meghalaya State Women Commission Chairperson Ms. Phidalia Toi for participating in an election rally of Jowai  LAC’s NPP candidate Wailadmiki Shylla.

The chairperson has been asked to reply to the notice by tomorrow explaining as to why action would not be taken against her for violating Meghalaya Services (Conduct) Rules by participating in election rally of a political party while holding an office of profit in the state government.
