CRPF DIG visits poll-bound Garo Hills on inspection

Tura, Feb 17: Anil Kumar, DIG of the CRPF Range, Guwahati, visited all districts of the Garo Hills region in connection with the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

Kumar is in Garo Hills to supervise the induction and deployment of CAPF personnel and manage security arrangements in view of VVIP visits to the region. He is also visiting the proposed company locations for CAPF personnel regarding the availability of infrastructure, basic amenities and logistic support, as per the guidelines of the ECI.

Kumar also held various coordination meetings with all concerned DCs and SPs of Garo Hills as well as DIG – Western Range, DIG of BSF, CAPF, ad-hoc commandants and officers of the VIP security with regard to logistic preparation and security situation.
