Tura, Feb 20: At least five women were killed, and a few others injured, when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Bolmedang near Kharkutta at around 11 AM today.
The vehicle was carrying people for a TMC election meeting at Adokgri. Emergency teams reached the spot and evacuated injured to hospital.
Four of the deceased were identified as Merina Sangma, Sabina Marak, Kukila Momin and Tesa Sangma.
