Christian leaders ask voters to make judicious decisions

SHILLONG, Feb 19: Christian leaders from different parts of Assam and Northeast region including Meghalaya’s Khasi Jaintia Christian Leaders Forum (KJCLF) who met in Guwahati recently, have called upon voters to judiciously exercise their electoral privilege.
“One should be guided by informed and a clear conscience and elect able leaders who are just and fair, who shun corrupt practices, and those who are trustworthy and committed to the unity and good of our community and the nation,” the leaders conveyed in a statement issued here. Besides this, the meeting issues like discrimination against the Christians across the country including hate speeches, humiliation and violence targeting individuals and groups, destruction and desecration of property and places of worship.
