Nongpoh, Feb 20: A gang of eight bike thieves who created panic by stealing bikes in different parts of Guwahati city, has been arrested by Jorabat Police today.
Two stolen scooties, a KTM and a Hero Splendor were also seized along with a master key and a number plates used for lifting bikes were recovered from the gang.
The arrested miscreants were identified as Harish Das and Dipu Teran of Sonapur, Dibyajyoti Shaw Ikia of Majuli, Chemfang Sedap of Nongpore, Maldini Sangliang, Bandraplang Malai, Jodamin Malai and Vicky Malai.
